Alexandra Bowen
Originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Alexandra Bowen moved to Jonesboro in 2018 after she married her husband, Wade. Alexandra is a tax attorney and a trust officer at a local bank. Her hobbies are baking, reading, and traveling.
Alexandra joined CASA in 2019. She accepted her first case in January 2020. Alexandra heard about the CASA program when she lived in Pine Bluff. After she moved to Jonesboro, she heard a radio advertisement for CASA and became interested in volunteering.
When asked why she wanted to volunteer for CASA, she replied, “I chose to volunteer as a child advocate to make a positive impact in children’s lives. Children in abused and/or neglected homes are innocent victims and should not suffer the consequences of their parents’ choices. The children deserve a chance to have a carefree childhood and to grow up in a loving, clean and safe home.”
Interacting with the children, hearing about their day and getting their perspective on life is the highpoint of Alexandra’s advocate role. “Being a CASA Volunteer has been an extremely rewarding experience.” she shared. Alexandra encourages others to become involved as a CASA Volunteer and be a constant, positive influence in a child’s life. Thank you Alexandra for all you do in the lives of our foster children!
